卢昊的作品闲逸而有力，属于典型的糖衣炮弹。糖衣让人心醉，炮弹让人心碎，其内敛和扩张在同一深度，是打击人类视觉防线和精神世界的锐利武器。他以“建筑”作为母题，敏锐的创作手段来对应中国社会变迁中所引发的城市系列问题，他切中了中国现实最基本的社会问题，那就是城市建筑的迅速崛起与知识分子精神命运的边缘化。但是，对卢昊来说，成为现代的并非指承认和接受这种恒常的运动。恰恰相反，是指针对这种运动所持的某种态度。这种自愿的、艰难的态度在于重新把握某种永恒的东西。

 
Les oeuvres de Lu Hao sont à la fois puissantes et confortablement décontractées, ce sont de purs exemples de la “grenade enrobée de sucre”, le sucre vous enivre le coeur, la grenade vous le déchiquette. Retenues et expansives à un égal degré de profondeur, ce sont des armes acérées qui attaquent les lignes de défense visuelle et l’univers spirituel de l’humanité.
 
En plaçant la “construction” au centre de son oeuvre, Lu Hao a réagi avec beaucoup d’acuité aux questions que posait dans les villes ce bouleversement de la société chinoise. Il a touché juste, au coeur du problème le plus fondamental: la croissance rapide de la construction urbaine et la marginalisation spirituelle des intellectuels. Pour Lu Hao, devenir moderne ne signifie pas accepter et subir ce mouvement permanent, au contraire, cela veut dire adopter à son égard une attitude adaptée, volontaire et butée, qui consiste en une reprise en main de quelque chose d’éternel.
 
 
Lu Hao’s works are at once powerful and comfortably relaxed. They are perfect examples of “Candy Covered Grenades”. Their sweetness intoxicates the heart and the grenade shreds it. Restrained and expansive to an equally profound degree, they are honed weapons that attack the visual lines of defense and the spiritual universe of humanity.
 
By placing “construction” at the heart of his work, Lu Hao addressed, quite incisively, the questions being asked in urban centers about this upheaval of Chinese society. He hit a nerve at the center of the fundamental problem: the rapid growth of urban construction and the spiritual marginalization of intellectuals. For Lu Hao, to become modern does not entail being subjected to or accepting this irreversible momentum. On the contrary, it involves the adoption of new considerations within an adapted attitude, voluntary and reinforced, that consists of reclaiming a few eternal elements.
